Our People | Technical Expertise & Industry Knowledge
Knowledge of building infrastructure, construction, information technology systems, and the business side of real estate transactions are among VVA’s special expertise. VVA’s licensed professionals will review all technical criteria and produce both qualitative and quantitative analyses for comparison. Integrated Cost Management
In comparison to traditional cost management, our team provides the full portfolio of Quantity Surveying services for our clients throughout the U.S. These services include: initial cost planning, detailed cost estimating, procurement & bid management, change order management, financial administration, and cost control of projects. Our independence from the Construction & Design teams means that we provide impartial advice to our clients to maximize their investments and to minimize their risk.
VVA’s in-house Quantity Surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). They hold certifications and professional credentials to perform to the highest industry standards and draw on their expertise resulting in a focused, unbiased, and honest Cost Management team for clients and colleagues alike.
VVA begins the QA process by making certain that the project scope is fully understood by all design team members and that the entire range of expertise required is accounted for on the project team. One of the first items we emphasize is the accuracy and completeness of the architectural backgrounds since this is the building block for the other design disciplines. We continue to review the extent of detailed scope expected from each of the design firms while still in design development. This includes responsibilities for accommodating items like conduits and power for furniture, communications, A/V and security systems. Our design concentration focuses on the following:
The VVA approach during construction is to visit the job site frequently and observe the execution of the work. We require the design team and contractors/vendors to participate in this process such that all issues can be reviewed by the appropriate parties. Our unsurpassed field experience and technical knowledge enable us to deal effectively with any and all quality issues and resolve them accordingly. The efforts we deploy span all aspects of the project in order to ensure a superior final product for our clients.
