Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts

A 570,000 square feet world-class performing arts center in downtown Miami located on a heavily urbanized site, consisting of the contemporary 2,400 Ziff Ballet Opera House and bespoke 2,200 seat Knight Concert Hall, the Arsht Center provides 4 acres of cultural excellence for downtown Miami.

Initially fraught with design and construction difficulties, this project went through major restructuring. Ron Austin was brought on as overall project director, developing the strategy to successfully navigate and negotiate new parameters in cost and time to support the reallocation of risks necessary to allow the project to successfully complete. At the time of the project’s completion, this was the largest public-private partnership in Miami-Dade County with a final budget of $480M.
