Tough Mudder

Tough Mudder, the renowned endurance event company, partnered with VVA to manage the design and construction of two full floors of new, open plan office space and a new fitness center.

The project also involved furniture selection, audio-visual and information technology systems, and the development of a robust branding package. The open plan encourages team collaboration and allows for “town hall” gatherings and other special events. The design connects directly with the brand sensibilities of Tough Mudder.

The design highlights emphasize a “rugged” appearance, including wall coverings resembling rusted steel, dramatically shaped boardroom acoustical panels, and intentionally battered door frames that serve as metaphorical reminders of the importance of overcoming obstacles.
