LinkedIn, the premier professional networking site, enlisted VVA’s Project Management Services for the continuous expansion of its 150,000 SF New York City Headquarters in the Empire State Building.
This progressive client drew inspiration for the project from New York City’s proud history and pop culture, igniting the 28th floor of the ironic skyscraper with the uniquely dynamic work environment. The resulting 33,000 SF of interior fit out mimics the aesthetic of New York’s old school social and business clubs, complete with a speakeasy lounge hidden behind a wall of vintage rotary phones and a wall decorated with 20’s style bowler hats. The newly expanded space includes open plan work stations/offices, a super-sized café/lounge area, a gaming area, a fitness room, and a state-of-the art theater room. This project achieved LEED Gold.
VVA is currently managing two additional projects for LinkedIn: the 95,000 SF 7th floor, which includes cafeteria, training center, and media home for Lynda.com; and the 33,000 SF 26th floor, which includes a state of the art hub for LinkedIn’s engineers.
