With studio projects, managing the interrelationship between creating the physical space and creating the technical space, including cabling and broadcast equipment integration management, is key. In the technical space there is often heavy mechanical and electrical infrastructure required which may call for structural reinforcements depending on the building, as well as UPS systems, data centers, generator back up, cooling towers, pumps and modular chillers. The physical space includes production, production support and talent areas, as well as audience space for broadcast, requiring permits for public assembly, special filing and Certificate of Occupancy.
